'Twelve at Night', is the newest album of Rulefox: a theatrical trip through rock, jazz and pop. An instrumental album with a bass and drums rhythm section and either keys or guitar as lead instrument. Mind you that Rulefox has recorded all the instruments himself, playing the parts mostly straight from beginning to end.
The approach to recording music using only a bass, drum, guitar/keys Trio Rulefox learned to value in Amsterdam. With the right compressor and a good mix you get a "fireworks" that can reach the moon, or a cricket choir shining to the sun. Rulefox concluded about this album in the very first listening session of the finished work: "Everything is finished. Everything is bright".
Attempts have succeeded to create a seperate atmosphere, feel and drive for every album track. There are ten tracks and over 70 minutes of music.

These five albums of my own self-invented style of classical music have been mixed with a rock hand. This was my approach. They sound sturdy. But rock always is associated with blues (Rhythm & Blues), so I decided to remix the five albums in Classical music style; this suits the tracks better. My invented style thus is a genre of Classical music. You will be notified on this page when I am done remixing the albums and thus can deliver them to you as Classical Music. You will notice the difference: there is a lot more airyness in the tracks then.
In the meanwhile I have decided to leave the five albums here mixed as they were, while these mixes are good too!! I will introduce the minimalistic mastering I was talking about for the next album.
